Dr. Amber Pederson – Lake Wylie Chiropractor
Dr. Amber Pederson is now accepting new patients and is offering Functional Medicine.
Dr. Pederson had been going to the chiropractor since she was 10 years old. She believes this has contributed a great deal to her good health. “I have not had a primary care physician since my pediatrician. When people asked me who my doctor was I usually just said my chiropractor.” When faced with a decision on which career path to take her Chiropractor, Dr. Paul Sorhcy, asked “Have you ever thought about becoming a chiropractor?” Greatly enjoying helping people, Dr. Pederson was well aware of the benefits of Chiropractic Therapy and obtained her Doctorate Degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic College in Port Orange, FL.
Palmer College of Chiropractic is known as being Chiropractic innovators in teaching adjusting techniques and management. Dr. Pederson loved her experience at Palmer College and learned techniques such as what has become to be known as the “Palmer package”. Additionally, she learned “Diversified”, “Gonstead”, “Fflexion-distraction”, “Applied Kinesiology”, “Activator”, various soft tissue techniques, and many more. While at Palmer College, Dr. Pederson underwent additional training in Functional Medicine.
In choosing a Chiropractor to complete her internship, she chose Lake Wylie Family Chiropractic. Dr. Hartley is very knowledgeable; providing valuable instruction and mentoring. During the internship, Dr. Pederson learned a great deal and enjoyed working at the office. At the end of the internship, Dr. Hartley offered her the opportunity to become his associate and is now practicing at Lake Wylie Family Chiropractic.
Dr. Pederson attended South Lake High School in Clermont, FL where she was the Class Vice President as well as the captain of the softball team. She earned a scholarship to play softball at the prestigious Rollins College. While there she majored in Anthropology and minored in Archaeology. But, while Dr. Pederson enjoyed learning about different cultures and ancient histories she did not want to write research papers for a career. Chiropractic and Functional Medicine was her true passion, which lead to her Doctorate Degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic College.
In her spare time she enjoys hiking, cooking, going to the beach, fishing, and exercising.
